History

Pupils are taught to develop a chronological knowledge and understanding of British, local and world history, making connections, contrasts and trends over time and develop specific historical vocabulary.   Teaching will equip pupils to ask questions, think critically, weigh evidence, sift arguments and develop perspective and judgement.   They will understand concepts such as continuity and change, cause and consequence and that knowledge is constructed from a range of sources.
