Lunchtime Arrangements

School dinners are served in the dining hall and are supervised by our Lunchtime supervisors. Children have a choice of menu:

  • Two choices of main course, including a vegetarian meal
  • Salad Bar
  • Pudding / Crackers
  • Fresh fruit
  • Water/ Milk

Bread is also provided.

We encourage pupils to show good manners and behave well during the meal.

Packed lunches must be placed in one plastic container, with the pupil’s name and class clearly written on it. Although we do all we can to help the children look after them, we cannot be held responsible for any losses.

Paying for School Meals

£2.52 per day (£12.60 per week)

We are a cashless school and do not accept cash payments at the school. All payments need to be made either online at or at a pay point centre.

Pupils accounts should always be in credit or meal will not be able to be served.

Free School Meals

You are eligible to claim free school meals if you are in receipt of any of the following:

  • Income support
  • Income based job seekers allowance
  • Asylum seekers allowance
  • Child tax credit only and have an annual income of less than £16,190 or the guaranteed element of state pension credit

If you would like to apply for free school meals, please call at the school office to collect an application form.

Lunchtime Supervisors

We have a number of LSs, whose job  is to supervise the pupils at lunchtime, both in the dining hall and in the playground or on the field. We have also appointed Play Leaders, who work with the pupils supervising and organising games for them to play. Pupils are expected to treat these people with respect, follow their instructions and report incidents of concern to them.

Pupils who persistently misbehave during the lunch break, will be given sufficient warning before having to spend a period of lunchtimes at home. You would be given at least 48 hours notice of this exclusion.
